Work will start from September 6th.
From autumn 2023 the mountain station of the Dachstein Gletscherbahn will be completely upgraded.
The Gletscherbahn cable car will therefore cease operating from Wednesday, 6 September 2023. The work is expected to last until May 2024. We ask for your understanding!
Cross-country training groups will have the exclusive opportunity to train on the glacier from 2 October until 22 October. Advance registration is required via the Sportbüro Ramsau am Dachstein.
The athletes will be transported to the mountain station from 07:30 to 09:00 and must travel back into the valley between 12:00 and 13:00.
Please note: the restaurant is not open!
We expressly emphasise that capacities are limited.
In autumn 2023 the Summercard includes additional cable cars such as
- Hochwurzen
- Reiteralm
- Rittisberg
until and including the autumn holidays as well as the facilities
hitherto open until this time of year.
As a result, guests can take advantage of an even larger offering despite the absence of the Gletscherbahn cable car.
In the Christmas period from Monday 25 December until Sunday 7 January a limited public service is expected to operate.
Opening is also planned on certain days in February 2024 The Gletscherbahn and attractions will be open. The glacier restaurant will remain closed due to the refurbishment work.
